Rozanna Walecki is a fashion textiles designer based in London who graduated from the Royal College of Art in July 2015 with an MA in textiles. She currently specialises in hand and machine embroidery, layered with fabric manipulation and screen printing techniques- which are further distressed, bonded and coated to alter the handle and drape.
Her vision for design is lead by her conceptually dark and brooding aesthetic with a focus on creating luxurious fabrics and beautifully constructed garments. Incorporating a moody and sensitive translation of material innovation into opulent and wearable materials. The use of contaminated colour palettes, incorporating petrol tones mutating from black into toxic has enhanced the rich surfaces and textural qualities.
At BFW she will showcase a collection inspired by mutations in nature, the human body and tactility in decaying environments.
Rozanna Walecki will be showcasing her collection at the Zeitgeist catwalk show on Friday 16th October.
