Loud. Outrageous. Radical. Outsized. Rebellious.
Originally a designer of head pieces and costumes for dancers, Jenivieve Berlin made the jump from the stage to the catwalk in 2011. Based in Glasgow but influenced by the edgy street style of Berlin, in particular the Eastside Gallery and the Tacheles, her new collection "Blood, Sweat & Tears: The Bedroom Collection" will be unveiled at Brighton Fashion Week 2012 Brighton Frocks Show on 30th May at All Saints Church, Hove. It charts the reverse journey of hip hop, beginning in 2012 and travelling back to the 1980s. It progresses through the de-evolution of the movement, stripping back to the structural, bear minimum, moral rich, old skool rhymes that will echo the true determination of those that strived to better the world through the lyrics of their verses.
Jenivieve Berlin has just been nominated Accessory Designer of the Year at the Scottish Fashion Awards
