Gabriella Sardena is a recent womenswear fashion graduate from the Manchester School of Art and has showcased her work at the Manchester School of Art Fashion Show 2015 and Graduate fashion week in June 2015.
Gabriella Sardena is a creatively driven individual who is inspired by experiences, quirkiness and personalities. Gabriella researches and develops her work through the process of a narrative. Her working style involves drawings, illustrations and development through 3D work and sampling. Gabriella is inspired by artists, such as James Ostrer, who exhibited ‘Wotsit all about’ and thrives in a studio environment, submerged in a creative atmosphere. Her work focuses on textiles and surface textures, combining colours and fabrics to create innovative looks and materials.
Gabriella Sardena’s SS16 collection is inspired by the innocence of femininity in contrast to the psychotic compulsive obsession with everything sickly sweet. Her concept for this collection explores unique surfaces and textiles such as puff paint and embroidery, along with trapping and bonding fabrics together to produce three-dimensional textures and shape development.
Gabriella is the winner of Runway Gibraltar 2015 (we were the judges) and she has won a complimentary catwalk show at Brighton Fashion Week sponsored by Veolia Environmental. Gabriella will be showcasing her new collection at Brighton Fashion Week's Zeitgeist show on Friday 16th October.
