Flik Hall
"Mannequin Parade" - Her winter collection creates a visual dialogue about the possibilities and limits of body modification. Flik’s design philosophy stems from a continuing obsession with the human form and bodily contours.
A strict use of clean sharp lines control, alter and expose the body with precision that injects hints of provocation and a sardonic tinge of violence. A high octane mix of materials including sensuous goat hair, coarse raffia, and pearly leather add new dimensions to her work. Many of the garments display prints of body parts that are both confronting and intriguing as they interact with garments.
