Couture corsetier Chrissie Nicholson-Wild combines elegant engineering with creative costumery in her custom designer corsets and fantasy outfits.
Forged with traditional English influences the A/W 2013 'Countryphile' Collection gets it's debut in Brighton Fashion Week. Edwardian cut corsets in sensuous leather, classic tailored suits and glorious gowns mixed up with equine fashion, armour and Steampunk detailing.
Hugely important to the aesthetic of Curve Couture is the transformative affect of the corset, both on the physical body and the psyche of it's wearer.
Nicholson-Wild says, “I love the aesthetics of the corset, the flow of the lines, the uber feminine silhouette it creates. I love that when you wear a corset you feel like you're wearing armour, and you know that all the eyes in the room are on you. It's a wonderful kind of confidence to be put on show, and yet feel entirely protected.”
Curve Couture will be showcasing a new collection at ShowReel on Saturday June 15th.
